  • Forms Based Authentication Editor

While browsing on ISAserver.org I noticed a tool which might be very handy for all those people who want to edit FBA.
So it's not my tool but I thought this could be handy for a lot of us.

It is a Simple tool to edit the Forms Based Authentication page and make it different than what's default.
During my work as a consultant I noticed that a lot of companies want to have their own custom branded FBA page.
But for quite a few people the step by going to edit the plain HTM files and making sure they don't break the FBA page is too big. So therefore I created this tool.
In this version 1.0 I have the functionality to change the following options.

    Change the text variables

Alter the Font that is used

Replace the images used on the page

Option 1 will allow you to change the text in every language that ISA or TMG supports
Option 2 will allow you to select your corporate Font.
Option 3 will allow you to change the pictures like inserting your own company logo.
You can download the fba editor at my company Blog page http://blogs.platani.nl/tools/FBAEditor.exe
And here is my demo published on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7K044RSeKM

I'm really looking forward to your comments and ideas so i can make the next version even better. Please let me know what you think of it.

    Re: Forms Based Authentication Editor

Seems very complex when compared to when I customised my FBA page using FrontPage 2003 and suggestions from Expert Exchange. Marcel, is the FBA in ISA 2006 that much different from 2004? (I haven't looked as 2006 yet)
    1 1 was a racehorse.
    2 2 was 1 2.
    1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
    2 2 1 1 2

      Yups.
With ISA 2004 only Outlook Web Access Web Publishing Rules was supported with FBA.
Now with ISA 2006 FBA can now used for all Web sites published using Web Publishing Rules.

I haven't compared the source codes but with this tool for me it simplifies a lot.
It might need some future development but I think a lot of us can use it greatly
