  • ISA 2006 Setup as Proxy Server. Please Help

    Hello All,
Please i need help in setting up ISA 2006 Server as Proxy Server.
I have seen a number of posts already referring to different issues in the setup of ISA 2006, but i have not been able to pick out a particular guide to deploying it from scratch.

Please can you help me out on this? I'm a newbie on this.
Please urgent assistant required, i need to deliver ASAP.

    Thanks.

    Give us some more information?

    OS of the server.

Hardware configuration - does the server have 2 NICs?

    Which edition of ISA?

What research have you already done? It's not clear from your post. Plenty of material available through Google http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=setup+isa+2006+proxy

Re: ISA 2006 Setup as Proxy Server. Please Help

      Hi Gforceindustries,
      thanks for ur response.
The OS is Win 2003 SE, and ISA version is Standard Edition too.
I am using one NIC card, since i want to set it up as proxy mode only, atleast for now, since we already have a gateway device.
I intend to push the proxy to all client PCs on the network either by GPO or manual config for the PCs not on the domain.
But my primary concern now is to get it running as proxy.
      Please F1!
      Thanks.

First of all I would when possible join all clients to the domain. It give you more flexibility.
Second I would use the Automatic detection (discovery) which is possible with ISA instead of pushing out the settings via GPO.
Make sure you use the correct single network template
Well and finally you might review how to Configuring ISA Server 2004 on a Computer with a Single Network Adapter.

I have configured the proxy settings on the client as follows: 192.168.2.6, Port:8080

Hmmm how is your firewall policy looks like?
              How is ISA resolving DNS?
Have you reviewed the monitoring tab within ISA?
