  • ISA 2006 problem

ear sir, i have installed ISA server 2006 on windows server 2003 with ip settings as:

    IP: 192.168.2.204
    subnet mask : 255.255.252.0
    Default gateway: 192.168.0.1

    prefeed dns: 203.99.163.240
    alternate dns: 203.135.0.70

Internet is working fine on isa machine
and i have created a access rule to allow internet to all users.

    Client IP Settings:

    ip: 192.168.2.11
    subnet mask: 255.255.252.0

    and internet explorer setting as:

proxy server: 192.168.2.204 and post 8080

but no internet on client machine.

    how can do that?

Have i add default gateway and DNS address to client as well. if yes how?

OR i have to add DNS farwarder in isa machine etc

Well I think you have to review your setup.
Is ISA installed with one nic?
Why is the ISA server using external instead of internal DNS servers?

Also the ISA server will do the DNS queries instead of the client when ISA is defined in the browser. This is default with every other proxy server.

Seconded. Everything to do with AD should be utilising the internal DNS servers.
