    i want to block sendig mail. and block any file upload on any site.and block ftp i am using windows 2000 server & isa server 2000

    to stop FTP, simply close port 21.

    i dont know what sendig mail is, but i would use TCPView to see what port it uses if its not using the standard 25 smtp, then adjust your ISA policy accordingly.

    what a minute... is "sendig mail" a typo? do you mean "sending mail"? if so, then just have ISA restrict the client stations to not allow 25 or 110 for pop3 (995 for pop3 SSL) and only allow your exchange server to send or receive these protocols.

    and for the file upload/download, you may have to do a little more than that... if the users are using rapidshare or megaupload, then you need to restrict these sites period. they will upload via standard web protocol, so stopping FTP is moot in this instance.

      It uses smtp.
