file delete

  • file delete

    hi
    2003 server.
    logged from remote desktop as admin ( to the server)

    i want a text file named log.txt not to be allowed deleted by even me ( admin)

    i put admin all the permissions except delete

    but
    im still able to delete it
    why ??

    i blocked inheritance

    you can see the file atached
    please help.

    Off the top of my head, did you try an explicit DENY delete for the EVERYONE group?

      thanks for your reply

      why should i put the everyone explicit deny ?
      i just put the admin ( which is me) and i put for him - NOT TO DELETE
      since i havent put the everyone group , they dont have any permissions....

      i just wanted me , the admin , not to be able to delete this file

      so i put

      admin --------> everything but delete

      but i still able to delete him

        Put the explicit deny on the admin account then.
