  • MS ISA 2000: allowing a client to get out without a user needing to be logged in

    All,

I need to allow a machine to get out with out a user to be logged in ISA 2000, i.e. sort of a liveupdate.

I have created protocol to allow the first connection tcp port 443 and the secondary connection tcp 9000 to get out.

I created a protocol rule to allow a specific machine to use that rule, but the ISA server is blocking the machine from getting out, its giving an authentication failed error.

a little more background, the machine is not part of the windows domain nor can it join it, the machine just wants to use the ISA server for internet access.

the ISA client is installed on the machine with WINS and DNS configured so it can resolve the machine name, so its connectivity is good.

    Ben
