  • Secure.remote.desktop.connection.

    Hi,

I'm using remote desktop connection in WindowsXP. I changed the default port of remote desktop connection from 3389 to my own one. The second part that I'd like to do is to secure the connection . Please advise. Thanks!!!

What do you want to secure? The data being transferred from machine to machine is already encrypted. Do you want to keep others from attempting to connect over and over? If that's the case you can restrict connections based on IP in your firewall.

Following Ahinson's answer - you can also use your own set of IPSEC policies.

I've moved this thread to the SECURITY forum where it belongs.
