  • Blanked passwords still don't work!

Can someone help me? I finally blanked password for Admin and the other users, now I can't log into admin at all even though it's been blanked! Why is it doing this?

    Thanks,

    Biffster

Are you logging in with the username Admin or with the username Administrator?
    1 1 was a racehorse.
    2 2 was 1 2.
    1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
    2 2 1 1 2

How did you blank the pwd? Do we need to guess?

Re: Blanked passwords still don't work!

Well, same problem here, but I'll give more details:

        -Win2003SBS, AD
-ex admin left without telling the admin pass
        -followed the tutorial found here

Tried to reset Local Admin Pass (so that I can make the srvany trick) with the following:
        NTAccess
        EBCD
        this utility: http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/

Except for EBCD, both NTAccess and the other utility reported Administrator password changed, but still canot login (in Active Directory restore mode and not even in safe mode)
The Offline NT&reg. editor (taken from that link) reports administrator account as locked (which I knew was impossible) and reports a limit of 3 maximum failed logins with already 6 failed logins.
