  • Stuck in a Fix

Well I got a Windows 2000 professional and how much ever I try getting a bootable disk I am not able to get it to work as the floppy drive does not get detected also I tried copying the SAM file but says it is being used and can not be copied. Is there any other way where without using a Bootable disk we can get the admin password on the system ?
I also thought of using the CD as a bootable but I only have a XP bootable CD would that be good enuff to do the trick ? and as the old Admin has now left the company I am unable to get my self the password from him or get Admin access on the system. Can you give me a few options of breaking in the password with out bootable disk or copying the SAM file ?
Is there any thing like Brutus Attack that can be used while using a normal login id ? As the system doesnt let me install any software with out Admin access.
