  • Have password but Admin account is disabled

I retrieved the local Administrator for a Windows 2003 Server and followed the steps in the article. When the system reboots it accepts the password but the account is also disabled.

    Any suggestions?

What other accounts are there and is there one that isn't disabled that is an Administrator acount?
    1 1 was a racehorse.
    2 2 was 1 2.
    1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
    2 2 1 1 2

They don't know of any other administrators on the domain.

If you use Peter Nordahl's method, it lists the user accounts and which ones are NOT disabled. http://forums.petri.com/showthread.php?t=2438 Link for that method is listed in the link I just provided.

Just for future reference, please provide a wee bit more information.

        What article?

What method or utility did you use?
Is the server a Member Server or a Domain Controller? (I would guess Member Server since you mention Local Administrator but I could be wrong. If the server is a DC then it does not have a Local Administrator user account)
