  • Help me PLEASE!!!!

ok here is my problem....I got a "new" computer...in other words new to me...and it wont let me on because i don't have the log in password. Now the person that i got the computer from says that they've never had to use one. so we tried that and it doesn't work. Before i recieved the computer they had it "wiped out" professionaly, meaning they got rid of all their stuff so i can have a clean computer. Those people didn't set up a password either.I have seen the articles telling me to use the cd or floppy disk that came with windows but nobody has it. I feel pretty lost right now and i could really use some help. so somebody please....any advice?????

ok, now there are several options. you can, of course, reformat. or there are tricks that can be used to change this password. obviously you have a computer that works, so use it to download software. http://www.softpile.com/Utilities/Pa...321_index.html if this doesn't work, let me know.

          Megs,

The solution si SIMPLE as can be. Go read the following:

          http://www.petri.com/forgot_administrator_password.htm

I had a customer who was locked out of his w/s and there was NO WAY that they could find out what it was because the w/s was installed by an idiot relative of a friend.

I tried method 1, 4, and 5. They ALL work. You boot to a floppy or a CD, follow the directions, and the password is reset to be blank.

Then you log in as admin and do as you please.

Give it a shot. It saved my ass.

              pay attention rex

pay attention to what she said. she doesn't have the boot disk, that is why i gave her the software. without the boot disk, those tricks are useless.
