    i am using windows 2000. i dont have a cd or floppy drive on my office computer and my system administartor is on leave so i want to know my administartor password.Please can i know my password without a cd or floppy drive. i urgently need it as i cannot work on projects from my system.Please i will be glad for an early response.

    You need a miracle and not a password. There is no way not know the admin password in your case. Call you system administrator

      i know its tought but i am sure their is a way out and ya if their is a way then it would be here in this forum itself.now let me see wether my believes lives up or my job.

              even thats not possible mate she is on leave to new zealand and will be back early next month.i joined here in her absence otherwise i could have everything sorted out as is the case with every one else.please kindly help me somehow or ask someone who can i am in real deep shit now

                easiest way i guess: buy a cdrom player, assemble it, and boot from a boot cd (enable it as first bootdevice in the bios)

                    if you can't adding hardware...
                    if you can't boot from an usb device..

                    i'm afraid you really need to contact you're system admin.

                      You must reboot the system and get external device access. Without that your job it is impossible.

                        hey i told you i dont have any external access device just tell me that is it possible to boot from some directory in the network?where i can donwload the necessary files required for the retrieve process.

                          it cant as far as we know... dont you get it???????????????

                          you NEED an external device... eg floppy or cd/dvd
                          if you haven't it... sorry but it's impossible..

                          if you find an other way, let us know, but i'm for sure, there isn't an other way.

                          doesn't have you're system administrator a mobile phone where you can contact him.

                            shit man i am in a mess i am nearing my project deadline and the bloddy admin is not coming back till 2 days of the deadline is left.can anyone atleast suggest me a way to install softwares on my system without being an admininistrator i belive if that can be done i can have the work done.i also need to update office package and many other stuff without being an admin is there some way to do it.please my job is at stake.
