  • MAC OSX problem

I have a FTP server sitting in the DMZ of my firewall and I wont to be able to let our MAC users places files on it. But the problem is I cannot get it to show up in the MAC choose.

from the MAC's (osx) I can ping and even reach the web page of the ftp server through a browser. I tried to place an entery in the host file on the mac's but still nothing.

From PC's everythign works fine. I just need to be able to get the MAC to see the server through the chooser.

    Any thoughts?

    thanks

What is the O/S on the FTP server?
    1 1 was a racehorse.
    2 2 was 1 2.

      Re: MAC OSX problem

I don't know what version you're running but for 10.x it all should be similar.
Have you gone through these steps? http://www.creativemac.com/2002/09_s...posx020924.htm

Also, do you have an FTP program you're using? MAC can't natively write to ftp servers.
