  • registration details in Office & Acrobat

I've got a copy of Office XP and Adobe Acrobat 5, however they're registered to a business i no longer work for.
The business name appears in the splash screens of both programs amongst other places...

I've gotten rid of all traces of the business name in the registry, but it doesnt seem to have changed anything

Is there any way I can change these registration details? (I wasn't prompted for them when I installed.. they seem to be hard coded in in some way...)

    Thanks,
    Kefka

Most software like Office etc. write the registration info in the Registry. It's just a matter of looking in the right spot. However, some software vendors use serial keys and registration numbers that are computed from the owner's name, so changing one might break the EULA or your registration key. I know that's not the case in Office but I don't know how it is in Acrobat, so you'd better check before changing it.
