  • Enterprise Content Filtering Product Search

My organization (700 users) currently uses Websense Enterprise to control/filter internet content but wants to move towards another solution.

Does anyone have any suggestions or experiences with products other than Websense?

2 alternatives that I have heard of are Trend Micro emanager and the St Bernard iprism appliance.

    Thanks

    have a look at

    policy central
    http://www.forensicsoftware.co.uk/

there currently beta testing a new version, (so far it's a lot better than the old one)

basically it picks up any text on the screen, so i doesn't matter what program the user is using, i.e internet, email, word etc.

it takes a screen shot of the violation, and then you can either set it to warn the user, stay in stealth mode, close the application.

the reporting on the old version wasn't brilliant, but the new one has email notification, so you can basically set to email you when someone has made x number of violations.

you can set different rules for different groups of user's
ie (i work in a school, so for students it takes a screen shot and they get warning popup, but for staff it takes a screen shot but no warning)

you can also use it to block websites and appliactions (or apply time restrictions)

    hope this helps

      There few options:

      1. Trend.
      2. e-Safe
      3. ISA 2004 + GFI/Trend Filters.
      4. Policy Patrol.

      etc.
