  • USB Flash Drive

My 32 GB USB Flash Drive suddenly stopped writing in more files in the middle of processing a batch. Each time I now try to delete or write to the drive it claims the whole drive is Write Protected, though I cannot find any tiny Write Switch on the case. So it will not or course allow me to re-format the disc as FAT 32

Has anyone any idea how to remove the Write Protection even under DOS?

    Re: USB Flash Drive

The only suggestion is to delete the partition and create a new one, then format it. Even then, it might be a hardware problem that cannot be fixed.

From the dim and distant past, that involved FDISK:

Also have you checked with the manufacturer for support? (or with the shop if under warranty)
