I need an app to run on a Domain that will find the PC name and MAC address. Stupid techs removed DC1 & DC2, installed and ooooooold Server, but didn't wait for it to replicate now the Domain has NO user accounts, NO Computer accounts, NO GPOs, NO Logon scripts; just NOTHING and I need to get something simple to get them up and running fairly quickly. One I have the MAC and PC Name I can use Ghost to bulk rename (if necessary) and join them back onto the Domain.

Anyone has any better idea it will be most welcome. Just need something Quick 'n Dirty to get them back running in the meantime while I fix the total far cup.

Jeez, they even screwed up DHCP. How does one screw up DHCP?

    Present DC is Server 2003 R2 x86.

They have 90+ machines and an old SEVEN year under speced Server for me to fix all this. My Secondary DC is a POS 5, year old mini PC, you know, the ones that have an external power adaptor. Oh joy.

    [\vent off]

    Thanks.

Forgot, I am playing with WireShark (which doesn't seem appropriate) and The Dude.

Merde, how could I forget AngryIP especially since every anti virus scanner I have run detects it as a virus (which it isn't).

Thanks Joe, much appreciated. Click image for larger version

Damn, old age must be catching up with me. I have used Advanced IP Scanner previously but had totally forgotten about it. Thanks for your post reminding me of this useful tool.

Much appreciated. Click image for larger version
