  • Centralised contacts

    Hi all,

Im looking to "try" and centralise our email contacts and have looked at a couple of solutions all of which seem to be "overkill" for what we want. Looking at CRM it offers a bit too much - obviously within outlook you can have a central public contacts list but the issue is getting people to populate this rather than thier own personal contacts.

    Any reccomendations - suggestions appreciated.

    Thanks

Business Contact Manager may be an option, it's an Outlook integrated solution and you can share the database.

Public Folder contacts are obviously the easiest/cheapest solution but changing user behaviour is always a challenge!

Thanks for the reply - just looking at Sharepoint. Using SBS 2008 we have Sharepoint (is it 3.0) am I correct in thinking you need the full version of Sharepoint to integrate contacts with Outlook.

I have created a test contact in Sharepoint but cant see where or how you pull it through to Outlook, if possible.

Just found out how to achieve this with Sharepoint - it has a function to sync with Outlook so I shall investigate further!
