  • Video conferencing hardware\software - any suggestions?

    Hi all,

It seems (as far as I can tell) there doesnt seem to be a single product which everyone uses to video conference and desktop share - unless Im wrong?

Im trying to find a solution where we can host conferences have multiple people join the conference and also view the presentation which is going on. I know that you can get live meeting (is that now lync?) but wondered if there were any other products\solutions out there?

    Thanks

IMHO consider a hosted solution -- Cisco do something and there are many others:

Yes, it will cost, but you are not having to invest in server hardware and support

Re: Video conferencing hardware\software - any suggestions?

I thought I would ask here first before posting a similar question. I am looking for a video conferencing option for a small start up I am interning for. From my searching I see cloud and on premise options. I even found one called web conferencing appliance. So, the trick I have is picking one that is best at preventing people from accessing the meeting who are not invited. We do not have a full time IT department like a regular company and the place we use charges for everything. So, the research is up to me. Is there a place that compares everything? Is there someone here who can make a suggestion on what would work for my situation? Thank you.

An on-premise web conferencing solution would offer the ultimate web conferencing and online presentation experience you are looking for. Check Microsoft Lync for packaged software deployment or RHUB for appliance based deployment.
