  • BES server loosing MAPI settings after config changes

BES 5.0.2.28 Enterprise edition installed standalone on a domain joined Windows 2008 R2 OS that currently does not have SP1 installed.

I have been informed that this particular issue happened when BES was first installed last year.

When configuration changes are made or Windows updates are carried out and the BES server restarted, the MAPI settings are lost. The resolve each time is to remove the currently installed ExchangeMAPICDO and reinstall using the ExchangeMAPICDO.msi. The settings come back.

Has anyone had this issue before or make any recommendations regarding a potential resolve?

What version of exchange are you running???

The MAPI CDO must match that of the exchange server, as you probably already know.

Have you spoken to RIM support yet???

I won't re-write this thread and you may have already looked at it but worth a read and try for a specific user.

      Thanks for the reply.

I have since investigated and noticed that the MSI was being used for the re-creation of the MAPICDO. This link has been sent to the customer and I am awaiting feedback.

Same one we used and have no issues with it.

Good luck and let us know what happens.
