  • Network monitoring - Ping fail

    Hi all,

Does anyone know of decent network monitoring software?

We currently have a simple ping program that emails when the ping fails,

I would like something more reliable and trusted.

    Many thanks!

What are you wanting to monitor and what sort of monitoring do you want?

    What is your budget?

What sort of environment are you running?

What do you use now that doesn't meet your needs and what other products have you tried?

You could check out Spice Works. It free (because it's ad supported) and is pretty robust. It does monitoring, help desk portal, network survey, and a bunch of other stuff. Might suit your needs.
