    How about this: http://www.esecurityplanet.com/open-...veracrypt.html
The article shows how to encrypt a USB drive and have the encryption software installed on the drive so that it is not tied to a particular machine.

VeraCrypt is the successor to TrueCrypt and would be the best option IMO. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VeraCrypt
By definition TrueCrypt cannot be cracked since its source was always available... But there are some security flaws that have not been patched since it's no longer being maintained. However, those flaws are not a huge deal but moving to VeraCrypt would be prudent as they are patched there. https://www.schneier.com/blog/archiv...ypt_secur.html

Yeah there are few software available for encrypting USB Flash Drives, but you have internal option which is called Bitlocker, which is builtin feature in windows 7, here is the tutorial.. Also there is another free software you can use to encrypt USB Flash Drive is Lacie Free Software "https://www.lacie.com/support/software/ " here is the setup guide on how to encrypt a flash drive
