  • Explorer Encoding

    Hi,

    Is there a way to set the encoding explorer to utf8 for only a specific web page > www.mydomain.com/myproject
    Something like the Trusted Sites pages only for encoding purpose

    Thanks

    Re: Explorer Encoding

    Make sure the page has the correct META tags so that it's properly detected by the browser. If done right IE will automatically use UTF8.

    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
    <html>

    <head>
    <title>Your Site Title</title>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Language" content="en-us">
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">

        Ok, but you can still set and need the META data for HTML. PHP renders to HTML on the fly. Do some searching on Google to find out how to do it.
