    Re: Connect remote desktop

    Hi,

Which account do you login, how about ping and telnet to default port of rdp 3389, which are your clients like xp, vista, win 7.
    Thanks & Regards

        Re: Connect remote desktop

Have you tried RDP via the name and IP address? As suggested, carry out a ping, telnet and tracert test via name and IP and post the results. Have you ever had the ability to RDP to the HTC.local domain?

what happens when you try to RDP? It's all well and good to say you can't but before we can start trouvleshooting, it helps to know where the error is occuring.

            Re: Connect remote desktop

Might be a bit off here but is your child domain name correct???

H!.HTC.local is an incorrect naming convention.

CAn you ping the server from the child domain and vice versa???

Also this really shouldn't be in the AD forum as its nothing to do with AD.

Requested it be moved to Misc as the OP hasn't given us enough information to detwermine where it will go.
