  • Savce, Database, Msc Tweak...

    Hello,

I am managing 35,000 clients (mostly 8.x) on 8 servers (4 of them are failover).

Since working with Symantec System Center is a bit problematic and slow with this amount of clients , I would like to ask the following question:

Where does the server write it's client list? Is there any DB?
If there is, what format is it? SQL?

The reason Im asking, is that I want to give several division in my
corporate a narrow online-synced report of their computers only,
without giving them SSC and telling them the password and the group
    name they should navigate to!

And what about delegating and denying viewing permissions?
Is there any option tweaking the MMC snap-in like in DSA.MSC? (I have many ideas)

    I will appreciate any help.

    Regards,
    Asaf

There no easy management for most of the AV. Also, there no full documentation on this issue.
    There few override option:

    1. Create regular logs and provide then to the management staff.
    2. Install to each department its own Antivirus group.
    3. Upgrade to version 10 There option to control the permission level.
