  • How do i password protect my u3 cruzer from auto write when i plugged it in?

Hi.I have a cruzer micro 16 gb.I'm a computer technichen and i uses my cruzer on many computers.sometimes when i insert it to a an infected computer' the virus is "jumping" to my cruzer Is there away to protect my cruzer from auto write with a password or something else(i don't have the model with the write protect switch)? i don't want to block write totaly because sometimes i backup up my clients stuff on my cruzer' i just want to control what goes in to my cruzer and decide wheter to let it.

Use the software tool that comes with it (well it used to come with it) to create a partition that needs a password before it becomes available.

Failing that, purchase a USB device that has the write protect switch. Like AMEX, I never leave home without one.
