can't find my HD

  • can't find my HD

    I have two HD's on my PC. one is Samsung 80 gb, and one is ST 20gb. I do not understand why, sudenlly, the big one cannot be watched by the windows xp. it was detected by the bios, as usuall.

    Right click on "My Computer", go to Manage, then go to Storage then Disk Management in the console.

    You should see the 80Gb drive and then be able to create partitions (if you need to) and assign drive letters.

    It sounds as if windows has lost the drive letter
