    mY Wife "letting" me buy a new Computer ,....
    Yippy I Hey !

    well, i need advice !

    amd 64 3000+ or P4 - 3Ghz ???

    (computer mostly 4 playing games ...)

    10x !!!!

    the rest is 1gig mem and 6600gt...
    the only thing i cant desice if its gonna b AMD or INTEL !

        i am also sticking with intel. i know too many people who keep having heat problems with amd processors.
        Yesterday we stood at the edge of the abyss. Today we are a step further...

          AMD can cool his processors much better then Intel can.. Thats why AMD mostly are much faster then intels..

          my AMD processor runs about 40 - 45 degrees celcius.. If you have problems with heat, you do something wrong.. buy a 8 cm cooler and a nice heatsink..

          I go for AMD. Much cheeper and faster. and the boxed ones (with a cooler and so on) are great.

            If games are your main concern then AMD. I've read a fair cross section of gaming benchmarks and AMD consistently outscores Intel parts.

            Also AMD gives you more bang for the buck (more power per dollar spent).

            I've been an AMD'er since I dropped my Intel 486 like it was hot in late 1994.

            My opinion... Go AMD.

              I still see a functioning Intel 486 nor AMD of that age.
              I know that they have improved but I prefer Intel.
