  • Difference in 64bit and 32 bit

    Could anybody explain me difference between 32bit and 64bit application and pro and cons of those two

    Roughly:
    Processors can have 32-bit or 64-bit architecture
    32 bit has shorter address space (less memory possible)
    OS can be 32 or 64 bit and both can run on 64-bit processors (but not the other way around)
    Applications ditto (32-bit can run on 64-bit OS but not the other way around)
