  • Software RAID5 for Windows?

Anyone know of a RAID 5 software solution for windows other than Dynamic Disks?

It's for home use, but I have alot of data movies, music etc

I'm using Dynamic discs now but I'm sick of it rebuilding for no good reason.
Which it's doing right now and takes forever.

I've seen this before on a few non-critical servers at work so I'm not surprised.

    I'd appreciate any info.

    Thanks,

    Kenny

Many newer motherboards support on-board RAID including 5
If they dont, they are likely to have RAID 1 (mirroring) which may work with larger drives to give you the same storage capacity
The only software solution I know is in Windows

Thanks. That's what I was afraid of, guess I'll just have to deal with it for now.

Unfortunately my board doesn't have it.

I want a pci card I can slap in my machine just don't have the money right now.

      Thanks for the reply though.

Have a look on eBay as they have some cheap devices available that would be suitable for your purposes.
