  • Anyone use folder redirection?

    Hi all

At the moment for our students we redirect their desktop to a shared folder (so we know they all look the same) plus we can make change quickly. In conjunction with read only profiles this works well.

We want to do the same for staff but want to allow them to make changes in word, IE cookies etc.. but still have read only profiles. Will redirecting application data to a read/write location allow this?

    Thanks

Not sure if that will do the trick, what parts do you want read-only ?

Just the desktop and start menu ? If so, probably easier to use standard profiles, then redirect desktop and start menu to read-only shares.
