  • Does anyone know about this image?

I know this is silly, but I stumbled across this image in the knowledgebase here and was wondering if anyone could tell me what program/script is being used to generate the background on this machine - specifically the details about the CPU usage, memory, et.al.

    Thanks in advance....

If I'm not mistaken it's BGINFO.

Actually it's not BGINFO, it's Microsoft Backinfo.

This link ***could*** be it, but note, it's not an official link so be sure to scan it with a proper AV before running it.

Now that is scary, a Reboot Exchange shortcut on the desktop. :shudder:
        1 1 was a racehorse.
        2 2 was 1 2.
        1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
        2 2 1 1 2

Hah! That's where Daniel's Exchange 2003 reboot script installation script (yes, I meant to write it that way) puts it. There's nothing wrong with that... there's a nice screen asking you if you really want to reboot.

Late reply but since the virtualization forums are slow today, I'll reply anyway. Daniel is correct. Lately I've seen this used in MOC labs. I grabbed a copy for myself from my instructor at my last training in January. I had been using BGINFO from Sysinternals for several years but Microsoft Backinfo looks so much nicer.

FYI the version Daniel linked to is an older version (1.10) than the one I got from my training class (1.13). Let me know if you are looking for the version like the one I have...

Wait, you can downloadd it from here:
                  http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

And here you can find a script for it:
                  http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Edit... to bad... it's also 1.10

Sorry but what does "Windows Server System Reference Architecture (WSSRA)" (on the link you provided) have to do with Microsoft Backinfo?
                    Cheers,

Extract its contents and you'll find out. It's kind of a "virtualized lab in a box" and with it comes a set of lab tools which included is the Backinfo utility.

Damn, and I thought it meant he had his NIC plugged into a 100meg switch or an I looking at the wrong image?

You're looking at the correct image, you're just not reading the question (or you're joking, I can't tell). Have a good day biggles77
