    Hello,
    My Rtvscan eats up a lot of memory and makes my PC very slow. Is it a godo idea to change ap riority from normal to Below Normal.
    WHen I tried todo it it says Access Denied.
    Any suggestion ?

    Symantec Security Suite. Do you have the latest version? Is windows etc up to date also?
    If you change it to below normal it will take longer to scan files etc so I suspect you need to fix the root cause first.
    How much RAM, what CPU and OS are you running?

        maxim42, please post the hardware you have on your computer (CPU and memory), the OS you have and the exact version of the Symantec Antivirus.

          It's a Dell Work Station

          CPU - Xeon 2.9Ghz
          1.5G of RAM
          Win XP , SP2
          Symantec 10.1.5.5000
