  • Domain vs Workgroup

Wonder if anyone can help on this?.

Basically I and my line manager are trying to move our company over to a domain based infrasctructure. But we are trying to explain it in simple terms to the company directors. Any idea where on line theres some simple to understand documentation on it. With nice pictures if possible?.

    - Google: http://www.google.com/search?q=domain+vs.+workgroup

    Good luck!

I just say to them that in a domain, it's one environment. So if you forget your password, we change it once and it affects (almost) everything you use. In a workgroup of 400 computers, it's 400 environments; so if you forget your password, it has to be changed on 400 separate occasions. This is usually enough to sell them.
