This is pretty much an IT Manager's personal prefference.

The company I used to Admin for was running Norton Antivirus, it was a managed system, so the main AV application would load an update every 2 hours or as soon as one came available, and then push the updates to all the client PC's, I liked this, as it was less bandwidth hungry.

My current company uses Trend Microscan, which does the same thing, and it also scanns the PC's from the server, so it's completely server controlled, as long as your logged in, it will scan your system.

Others use IBM Antivirus (also one I have used in the past) and a very good system also.

    B.

Central admin is the key to a good antivirus solution.

Trend microscan is the one winning awards at the minute.

Sophos Antivirus is also great for small to medium sized companies.

I have to agree with Cool Spot. Sophos is the best in my opinion. SavAdmin for deploying and enterprise for virus ide management. Plus get the right license and your staff can take it home and put it on their home PC's.
