  • Screen Recording Services

Hi I am looking for some software to record some 'help' videos for my family. I have seen some mpegs before that it automatically zooms the screen capture to the important bit making it larger to see the details then zooms out again when the dialogue box disappears.

Does anyone know of a open source package that does this?

    thanks

      Howdie.
Are you locked on OpenSource, or something free is good enough?
I am using Wink to prepare tutorials for my staff at work. It's free, it's nice and pretty simple.
Not a state-of-the-art piece of software, but it does a great job.

Thanks sorinso, free is good also just don't want to spend the money for something I will only maybe use once in a while.

I have just had a look at wink it looks promising! although i am not sure if it has the zoom feature I was looking for.

        Thanks again

You cannot hold the stick form both ends, can you?
It doesn't have that Zoom effect you love so much. But it's free !!
If you want something fancy, you can always go to Camtasia Studio. But that's gonna cost you !!
