  • MS SQL2005 64bit

    Hello,

    Plz I cannot install MSSQL 2005 in 64bit version. Host OS is Windows Standart Server 2003 R2 64bit and install CD of SQL is 64bit. But when I have SQL instaled it is running as 32bit Does anybody know how to install it like 64bit?

    you just mean to say that the config manager shows 32 bit... the attribute that it is displaying is read-only, so you cannot change it.

    i know what your talking about but i can assure you that if you installed from a 64 installer, its running 64.

    to make sure, take a look at the SQL error log. examine the first line...
    a x32 version will look like this:

    2005-11-11 19:12:37.75 Server      Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.1399.06 (Intel X86)
    you should notice that yours reads X64 or IA64 instead of the "Intel x86" shown above....

    if not, then you are running an x86 version.
