  • Active Sync over Terminal Services

    Hello,

One of my clients has recently bought a thin client (dumb terminal) and Terminal services into a windows 2003 server (to access outlook). I would like to know if he can use active sync to sync his pda (connected to the dumb terminal using usb).

    Thanks

    Regards,

Re: Active Sync over Terminal Services

Well, it's not that simple... Even if you configure the RDP connection to map USB devices, the OS on the thin client is limited in what device it can support. Thus, it cannot map everything.
Besides that, I don't think that the idea behind ActiveSync is to be used in an multiple user environment, such as a Terminal Server.
I think that an on-place test will give you the true answers...
BTW, what TC are you using?
