  • Windows 98 Path

I need to advise my son how to copy a number of old games onto a PC with Windows 98. Some need files like VBRUN100/200/300.DLLs inserted in the Widows path such as Windows/system32 with Windows XP.

Is Windows/system32 also in the path for Windows 98 to copy these DLLs ?

Yes - but why would you use Windows 98?!

      Thanks.

It is not my PC but that of a single mum who probably cannot afford a new PC.

I'll have to check later, but isn't it just the SYSTEM folder on 98? Gordon, have a search for *.dll on the 98 machine and it will tell you where the dlls are hiding.

Sorry to be awkward but I cannot get to the PC with the Win 98, my son will be visiting the lady and copying the files over tonight. So I am just asking if anyone has an old PC with Win 98 installed.

I will see if my son can be trusted to copy the Vbrun.dlls
