    Hello All

I have a WinNT domain, and lately I've discovered an unknown workgroup in the network neighbourhood. the workgroup name is gibberish, and when I try to access it, I get an "access denied" message. I could live with it, but yesterday I found another workgroup, different gibberish.
I'm guessing it's just a misconfigured PC, but I want to exclude security risks of a possible laptop connection and the likes.
    1. does anyone know how I can track down this workgroup and its computers, so I can fix this?
    2. I'll be satisfied with even just deleting this workgroup and find the user by his/her cries for help...

Try looking in WINS, if you have it. There may be rogue records in the WINS database.

For my own and your protection, I do not provide support by private message under any circumstances. All such messages will be deleted and ignored.

Anything you say will be misquoted and used against you

Sounds like you are trying to makeup something.
