  • Move SQL database to another server

Just wondering how you would go about moving a SQL 2000 database to a SQL2003 platform?

    Cheers

Re: Move SQL database to another server

Really badly worded question. Are you trying to move an SQL database from SQL 2000 to SQL 2003 (impossible but it might be a typo so it may be SQL 2005). http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=e...G=Search&meta=

Or, you want to move an SQL database (version unknown) from Windows 2000 Server to Windows Server 2003. http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=e...G=Search&meta=

Or, you want to move SQL 2000 database on a Windows 2000 Server runing SQL 2000. http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=e...G=Search&meta=

Or several other different combinations........ http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=e...G=Search&meta=
    1 1 was a racehorse.
    2 2 was 1 2.
    1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
    2 2 1 1 2

Sorry about my badly worded question its been one of those days.

We have spoken to someone in the know about SQL and we are goign to keep it on SQL2000 due to the work involved in upgrading it to SQL2005

      Cheers
