  • Back Up error

    Hi everybody!
Last two days I have a error in my back up job:
Back up -\\Domain\sysvol\ Logon server share directory \\domain\sysvol\domain.com\DO_NOT_REMOVE_NtFrs_Pre install_Directory was not found or could not be accessed.
None of the files or subdirectories contained within will be backed up.
Now when I trying to open this directory by my self it opened ,but it contains nothing, it empty.
    Any body had this before?
And have any idea what can it be

        Hi, kauf.
Do you have the backup agent installed on the 2003 server?
Under what credentials is the backup job running?
While logged in the 2000 server, can you access the problematic folder through the network?

            Re: Back Up error

When you uncheck the 'hide protected operatingsystemfiles' at 'folder options', you can see these folders. That folder is needed for a replication process. The "DO_NOT_REMOVE_NtFrs_PreInstall_Directory" does not need to be backed up. (Backup Exec should be excluding this folder by default).

            Have you seen this artikel?
            http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/276102.htm

            Exclude that folder from the backup;
            - path: \\*\*\*\DO_NOT_REMOVE_NtFrs_PreInstall_Directory
            - File: *.*

              Re: Back Up error

              I solved this problem
and after that I saw the answer of Rems
He is absolutly right, this folder doesn't need to be back up. ( according to veritas support)
              Thanks
