  • SSIS flat file import, with missing CR/LF

I am working on a SSIS (AKA DTS) package to import multiple flat files into SQL server. All is well except every once and a while I get a missing CR/LF on a row in the flat file. This in turn causes the entire row to not be imported. Any ideas on how to force import and ignore the missing CR/LF. Since this is fixed length anyway, I don't understand why it cares that there is a missing CR/LF.

This is the error message "Warning: There is a partial row at the end of the file"

    Google revels nothing.

And in case you are curious SSIS is park of SQL Server 2005

Thanks Yuval, but the issue was a fluke on the sample file that i received. All working files where actually correct. I never did find a solution to correct the bad file, but rather a redirect the bad rows to another table, and manually updating from there.
