I would use IPCOP with a select addon package. Easy to use and install, best of all it will run on a low end machine.

you could try using wingate it may be what you are looking for.

Remember once IPCOP is installed all config/upgrades can be done from windows. Still my choice for this type of thing

sorry for asking another question not in my post but i have to ask brian about a feature from ipcop.

did you manage to get urlfilter to run on the openvpn interface?
without entering proxy details in internet explorer.
            transparent mode like on green.

Yaniv, I believe this is possible. Although I have never attempted it myself. My OpenVPN is configured for file/print access and to collect emails.

If they connect from outside the office they still use the default gateway of there own ISP I found that routing the web traffic through my IPCOP machine was unacceptably slow for some users, I thought it was fine.

If I come across anything I will PM it to you.

                hi,
Use Windows 2003 firewall it is builtin with 2003 server and xp. It doesn't take much resourses. There are others free firewall utilities on Internet as well but I think with your situation xp firewall is best.
                Cheers
