  • BackupExec - find deleted job

    Howdy guys

I restored some files via Backup Exec and all went well, until the last restore, of an Exchange 5.5 information store.

Since the job failed, I deleted it.

However, there were, unbeknownst to me at the time, ramifications of this restore. It has caused a production mail server to fail.

I need to be able to view the details of that that particular job, I have the job number, but cannot find the details of the job.

Is there a way to look at deleted jobs in Backup Exec?

If there is, I'd love to know it.

    Thanks

    A

    Not that i'm aware of.

    ****EDIT****

Did you have the job set to email you a job log after it had finished??

It may be sitting in someones mailbox.

It may also be in the event logs of the server but how much info it gives i don't know.

It's cool, I found the reports, they are in .xml format and can be found on the Backup Exec server at this location...

      C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\Data

(assuming C:\ is the drive Backup Exec is installed on...)

      Thanks
