  • Setting up Windows server w/ roaming profiles

    Hi
I'm new to servers, and kinda want to get to learn more so i've decided to setup windows server with roaming profiles to kinda learn more. I really like how you can logon from any computer with your username and password and be able to access all your data.

The questions is what do i do to begin and what do i do to setup the roaming profiles

I know i have to install Windows Server 2003
    then what.. etc .etc...

Sorry to be soo n00b but i'm trying to get all this down

    PLEASE HELP ME!

Calm down, there's no need to shout.
OK, hawee, you know how to install 2003... do you know what Active Directory is?
    What you need to do:
    1. Run dcpromo on the server
    2. Join computer(s) to the domain
    3. Add users to the domain
    4. Configure the users' properties for Roaming Profiles

You should be able to those steps and find out what to do. If you get stuck anywhere post back and we'll help you through it. Also, when you're done post back and let us know how it went.
