  • CD Wont Start

    When I put my Windows XP in the CD Drive, I do NOT get the message...."to boot from CD press any key....."

    I have changed the CD Boot settings and still nothing happens..............it only happens with this one computer........

    its a Compaq EN 6350 with 192RAM and a 52X CD Drive.

    any ideas......????????

      CD Won't Boot

      in other words, the computer will not boot from the CD..........

        On some earlier systems the message to boot from CD press any key does not appear. It just boot from the CD.
        Have you tried changing the CD ROM drive with a known working one? This is to eliminate the drive from the equation.
        I'll post more when I have more time to spare.
