  • Console Speaker

On this 1 year old PC for some strange reason to me it does not seem to have the little speaker on the Console Tower. But I like to experiment with various Basic Computer languages to use a console speaker. So instead any attempt to use such a speaker under Win 7 merely creates beeps in the external stereo speakers, though the same code activates a console speaker on an old PC with Win XP

Is there such a thing as a USB adapter I can connect a little speaker to work on this newer PC with 64 bit Win 7?

    Re: Console Speaker

    Hi Gordon
Have a look inside the PC and see if the motherboard has speaker connectors - most do (typically in the same block of pins as the power button)

Your local computer shop will probably have a pile of speakers if you ask nicely....
