  • Less Memory Showing

    Dear Concern..

I am facing physicall memory issue in my Dell 280. although its fine in BIOS, showing 1 GB Ram. but in windows it showing 256MB Ram. Due to this my system performance is very Poor.

I try to find a solution on another computer where there I am also using 1GB RAM. I try the below command

    bootcfg /raw "/burnmemory=1000" /A /ID 1

after applying this command I lost my memory, remaining memory 768MB.

Please tell me how can i get back memory for my both systems.

    Regards

    Nabeel

    Re: Less Memory Showing

If you check your boot loader commands is the command still showing? If so, remove it. Or, try loading a system restore point.

Do you have onboard graphics? It could be taking a slice of the RAM from Windows....

        Dear Blood,

Thanks for the sharing of information regarding my problem. The command was stored there, I edit and save it. Now my system is showing the exact memory.

        Thanks & Regards
