  • Health check HP Server - management tools not installed

    Hi guys,

Looking to check the health our ML330, Ive scheduled a check within the sbs console but wouldn't mind a more hardware specific check. Can anyone recommend the best method of doing this please? The server doesn't have the HP tools installed - is it possible to install them afterwards as I always thought they were installed prior aka smart start?

    Thanks

You can install them manually after install. If you have the DVD pop it in and it'll autorun, if not download the PSP (ProLiant Support Pack) from the HP website. I prefer to do this these days now that the smartstart disk isn't required to get the RAID drivers during install.

Im just reading through the installation guide - and unless Ive misread it it would seem this installs a product to update firmware\software on the relevant server? Ideally Im trying to health check the hardware on this server rather than update it..??

Just to update - its the HDD's that Im trying to check - Ive downloaded the software for the raid controller and things are moving forward
